Academic Advanced Heart Failure Faculty Position

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is a dedicated quaternary care heart and vascular hospital with over 4,000 inpatient admissions and 75,000 ambulatory visits per year, which supports comprehensive ACGME Certified fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Heart Failure. The Center is staffed by full-time attending physicians who hold faculty appointments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, boasts an STS 3-Star AVR + CABG rating, and maintains volumes in interventional/structural, vascular intervention, and cardiac electrophysiology in the top 10% of the nation. The program also supports a robust Advanced Heart Failure Center with evolving growth of a destination VAD program and a unified cardiogenic shock program. The integrated cardiovascular imaging program includes an ICAEL accredited echocardiography, cardiac CT program and a newly launched dedicated cardiac MR program.

The ideal candidate would be expected to have completed training in Cardiovascular Medicine and Advanced Heart Failure in ACGME accredited programs. The position will balance practice opportunities on the inpatient advanced heart failure service, including ICU coverage, ambulatory heart failure clinics on site and in key strategic outreach clinics and direct participation in our VAD, ECMO and Cardiogenic Shock Programs. A dedication to fellowship education and research are core expectations of the entire Department faculty.

Deborah is centrally located in South New Jersey and is an easy commute from the Greater Philadelphia area, beautiful Atlantic coastal towns and Princeton NJ.
