Position Summary:Assist in pre and post catheterization patient care. Direct "hands on" care includes arterial/venous sheath removal, vital sign monitoring/measurement, preparing patients for procedures, assisting with admissions/discharges, and point of care testing. Accountable for Inventory management to include stock assessments and restocking procedure suites and pre/post unit. Cross-trained to provide support throughout the department in multiple duties which include a limited role during emergency situations. Good interpersonal skills. Flexible personality essential.
Education: High school or GED required. Nurse’s Aide training or Student Nurse preferred.
License and Credentials: Nurse Aide certification, BLS certification preferred.
Skills: Obtain and monitor vital signs required. EKG and or phlebotomy certification preferred.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
Work Schedule: M - F
HS Grad Equiv Degree or better.
