Clinical Quality Coordinator
Position Summary: Facilitates the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care and clinical documentation. Identify opportunities for improvement in nursing care and service, and to implement a monitoring and evaluation process. Collects, aggregates, analyzes and displays data and develops reports for presentation. Initiates educational program design based on findings of monitoring and evaluation. Works with managers to evaluate the effectiveness of improvement initiatives relative to the findings of indicator data. Ensures compliance with regulatory and professional standards and recommendations that guide practice. Works within the department and as an integral part of the Center’s leadership team to monitor and improve the quality of patient care.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in clinical nursing practice and 2 years in quality improvement is required. Prefer 10 or more years in clinical nursing practice.
Education: Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program; BSN within five years required. MSN is preferred.
License and Credentials: Registered Nurse required. CPHQ certification preferred.
Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet research required. Proficiency in Meditech EHR is preferred.
