Director - ECHO Lab
Deborah Heart and Lung Center is a dedicated quaternary care heart and vascular care hospital with over 4,000 inpatient admissions, 75,000 ambulatory visits per year, which supports comprehensive ACGME Certified fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, and Advanced Heart Failure. The Center is staffed by full-time attending faculty members who hold faculty appointments at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, supports an STS 3-Star AVR + CABG rating, and maintains volumes in interventional/structural, vascular intervention, and cardiac electrophysiology in the top 10% of the nation. The program also supports a robust Advanced Heart Failure Center with evolving growth of destination VAD program and a unified cardiogenic shock program. The integrated cardiovascular imaging program includes an ICAEL accredited echocardiography, cardiac CT program and a new cardiac MR program.
The new director would be expected to have Level III echocardiography training and certification along with comprehensive training, certification and experience in interventional imaging; including Mitraclip and structural CT Imaging related to TAVR, preferred. The role will encompass the physician administrative leadership of the echo lab and integration of structural imaging into the clinical, research and educational programs of the structural heart program. Beyond integration and leadership of the program, the director will be an active member of the clinical cardiology division participating in fellow education, ambulatory clinics and inpatient service.
Deborah is centrally located in South New Jersey and is an easy commute from the Greater Philadelphia area, beautiful Atlantic coastal towns and Princeton NJ.
