Registration Services Representative
Position Summary: Insures all patient demographics are entered correctly into hospital system. Explains all consents and forms and obtains signatures. Directs patient to the correct clinical area. Orders testing.
Experience: 1-2 years experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Requires excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and email.
Education: High School, GED or equivalent preferred.
Required License / Credentials: N/A
Other Required Skills: Customer relations training a plus. Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred. Must be 18 years or older.
Contact With Others: Continual. 95% direct patient contact, other 5% with internal health care staff requiring tact, discretion and persuasion in order to reach Department goals.
Supervision Given: none
Supervision Received: Receives guidance from supervisors and ultimately Director, Patient Access Services
Bi-Weekly Hours: 50
Work Schedule: 7:30am - 12:30pm
