Sterile Processing Tech
Position Summary:Perform and participate in activities related to the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization as appropriate, of surgical instruments, equipment and medical/surgical materials according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functional supply to user areas. Services are provided in a timely manner and good working relationships are maintained with customers.
Required: 0-3 months
Preferred: One year of Sterile Processing experience
Required: High School or G.E.D
License and Credentials
Required: National certification Certified Register Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) as a Sterile Processing Technician with in three years of employment.
Preferred: CRCST or CSPDT Certification
Required: Read, write and speak English at a high school level, High school level math skills. Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skill.
Preferred: Effective oral and written communication skills.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 50
Work Schedule: 4:00 pm - 9:30 pm (approx every 5th weekend)
