·Position Summary:Responsible for supervision of the day to day activity of the clerical staff, while providing administrative and clerical support to the Administrative Director and the Management Team.Oversees all functions relating to the clerical staff, assigning staffing to appropriate sections and provides interim “hands on” support as needed.Processes all departmental monthly reports and invoices.
·Experience:3 to 5 years in a healthcare billing setting required with administrative or supervisory experience preferred.
·Education: High School or G.E.D.
·Required License / Credentials:
·Other Required Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Computer skills in spreadsheet applications and word processing programs.Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.Working knowledge of hospital and physician billing and CPT and ICD-9 coding.
·Contact With Others:Regular internal and/or external contact involving considerable tact, discretion and persuasion in order to obtain information and/or willing action or consent.
·Supervision Given:Supervises and coordinates the service activities of a section or unit within a department.Has primary responsibility for assigning personnel and directing workflow.
·Supervision Received:Performs duties independently, following established procedures and reporting regularly to the Administrative Director.
