Description
Position Summary: Provides high quality diagnostic, consultative, therapeutic and/or procedural medical services in the area of specialty for a wide scope of clinical practice. Maintain compliance with billing and coding practices. Participate in ongoing Center clinical and administrative process improvement functions through participation in various committees, work-groups or special projects as directed by the Department Medical Chair or VPMA. |
Experience: Experience in area of specialty or recent completion of approved Fellowship in area of specialty. Interest or experience in health-professional training (medical student, residents, Fellows, advanced practitioners, etc), supervision of personnel, including mid-level providers. Familiarity with regulatory and Joint Commission standards for clinical practice. |
Education: M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school |
Other Required License/Credentials/Skills: Unrestricted Medical License in NJ in good standing; Board Certification in area of specialty (or eligible with certification anticipated or equivalent); Strong verbal skills, poise, social skills, able to effectively multi-task. Good communication skills are essential. |
Contact With Others: Regular internal and/or external contacts involving considerable tact, discretion and persuasion. High demand for contact with patients, families, professional colleagues and clinical leadership. Collaborates with other physicians and professional personnel to provide the best patient care. Flexible and approachable. |
�Supervision Given: Provides feedback toward performance of mid-level providers; participate in performance evaluation for support personnel in clinical area. |
Supervision Received: Direct supervision by Medical Chair of assigned Department. Ongoing contacts with the administrative members of Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Expect high degree of self-direction to implement priorities. The rate for this position is $125.00 per hour This position is per diem nights to cover the ICU. |
