Description
Position Summary: The Department Secretary-Case Management coordinates and facilitates the workflow of the Case Management Department and staff by providing administrative and secretarial support for the functions of case management, utilization review, care coordination, discharge planning and data assistance. He/she produces associated reports, gathers and sorts data for analysis, works with the business team, denial team, physician office staff, medical records, third party payers and other departments to enhance the timely flow of information necessary to support department functions. Serves as the direct community contact in relationship to service inquiries. Assists with special projects, generates reports and serves as technical administrative support for Case Management (CM) software.
Experience:
Entry level will be considered. 2 years of medical-related clinical and/or research experience preferred
Education:
- Required: Medical terminology, High School Diploma, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct Education
Preferred: Data Analytic Courses
License and Credentials:
- Required: None
Preferred: Data Analytic Courses/Certification
Skills:
Must be able to meet deadlines and prioritize workload and complete multi-step procedures on several studies simultaneously. Knowledge and experience with medical terminology and concepts. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask to meet multiple deadlines. Fluency in English (oral and written.) Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Business Clinical Analytics , Budgetary and Labor Distribution competency to assist with Budget Planning. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours: fulltime 80 hours per pay period
The minimum starting rate for this position is $18.20
When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
