Position Summary: Seeking an experienced vascular surgery physician assistant, preferably with vascular surgery experience. The ideal candidate will possess. As a surgical assistant PA, you will assist the vascular surgeons in the operating room and in taking care of patients on the floor. This position will work directly with the attending vascular surgeons, vascular surgery fellows and vascular advanced practice nurses in the care of the surgical patients, pre-, intra, and post procedure and function on a rotation with four vascular surgeons.
Experience:
Preferred 3-5 years PA experience and vascular surgery background.
Education:
Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
License and Credentials:
Required: Current NCCPA.
Current BLS required and ACLS certification preferred
CDS and DEA licenses required for Physician Assistants
Approval of credentials and clinical privileges per Center procedure
Skills
Assists attending surgeons as either a first or second assistant. Participates in fundamental operating room techniques including aseptic technique, tying knots, hemostasis, tissue handling. Acts as a consultant to operating room personnel concerning vascular surgery protocols and patient care as designated by the supervising physician.
Hours: Full-time hours 80 per pay period
The starting salary range for this position is $128,000 to $155,000
