Position Summary: Overseeing the daily operation of the pharmacy by providing guidance and supervision of staff in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as JCAHO, hospital and departmental guidelines. Works with the Director of Pharmacy Services and the Clinical Coordinator to reinforce, interpret, and apply department mission through training department members, coordinating, reviewing outcomes and providing feedback.Serves as a liaison between pharmacy, nursing, and other departments to achieve desired results and resolve problems related to operational issues.
Experience: 3 to 5 years hospital pharmacy experience required, 1 to 3 years management experience preferred; ASHP accredited residency and /or BCPS certification a plus. BLS and ACLS certifications preferred, required within first year of employment.
Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university required.
License and Credentials: Current New Jersey Pharmacist license; Current New Jersey Immunizing Pharmacist license.
Skills: Good interpersonal skills; computer skills; excellent time management.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
Work Schedule: Minimum of 40 hours per week, but hours may be long and irregular; including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
The minimum starting rate for this position is $66.98
When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
