Description
Position Summary: Perform and participate in activities related to the decontamination, inspection, cleaning, assembling, packaging, and sterilization as appropriate, of surgical instruments, equipment and medical/surgical materials according to established standards and procedures to ensure a sterile and functional supply to user areas. Services are provided in a timely manner and good working relationships are maintained with customers.
Required: 0-3 months
Preferred: One year of Sterile Processing experience
Education: High School or G.E.D Required
Required: National certification Certified Register Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) as a Sterile Processing Technician with in three years of employment.
Preferred: CRCST or CSPDT Certification
Required: Read, write and speak English at a high school level, High school level math skills. Demonstrated ability to perform basic computer skill.
Preferred: Effective oral and written communication skills.
Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
Work Schedule: 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm (Rotating weekends and holidays)
6 weeks training - 11 am - 7:30 pm
The minimum starting rate for this position is $16.68
When determining a team members base rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of recent relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
